Youth Strength & Conditioning for 10–15s in Herne Bay

Small group personal training that builds confidence, movement skills, habits, and focus that your child will carry into everyday life.

This isn’t glorified babysitting or another class to tire them out.

Why Most 10–15 Year Olds Aren't Training

This isn’t an after-school hangout in your Crocs, school tie half-off, ill-fitting clothing, vape in hand…

When it comes to exercise, most 10-to 15-year-olds aren’t training.

They’re loitering…

At the gym, in the park, in their room.

Phone in hand, scrolling through sets of nothing.

Lost, bored, with nothing to show for it

Detention that extends well beyond the school gates.

What This Isn’t

This isn’t PE.

No child will be getting picked last.

No child will want to forget their kit every time, conveniently.

No child will feel like they’re failing before they’ve started.

This isn’t a busy, intimidating gym.

No strangers staring. No wandering between machines with no plan and no idea what you’re doing.

No drill sergeant screaming at your child to drop and give twenty if they mess up.

A Place for Everyone

If they’re already competing in a sport, such as football, athletics, or gymnastics, our strength and conditioning is what separates those who improve from those who plateau. They’ll move better, minimise injury risk, and recover faster.

For everyone else, the reluctant PE participant, the teen who feels invisible at sports clubs, the one who’s tried a gym and wandered around not knowing what to do, it means finally having something that works. A structure. A goal. A reason to show up.

The kids on the fence, the ones who are bored and in need of something that will boost their physical and mental health after school.

Sessions at the gym aren’t glorified babysitting. It’s structured, age-appropriate coaching that builds confidence, movement skills, and habits that stick in and out of the gym.

Can Under 16s Lift Weights?

Yes, kids can lift weights. No, it won’t stunt their growth.

That myth has been doing the rounds since the 1970s, and it’s never had the evidence to back it up. The concern was the growth plate areas of developing cartilage near the ends of bones, which, in theory, could be damaged by heavy loading. The reality? Properly coached, age-appropriate weight training doesn’t damage growth plates. Contact sports, gymnastics, and competitive football carry significantly more risk.

What the research actually shows: youth strength training improves bone density, reduces injury risk, and builds movement foundations that last decades.

We believe Strength and conditioning at this age underpins everything:

  • Improved motor control and coordination
  • Better posture, balance, and movement quality
  • Increased self-confidence and emotional resilience
  • Healthier habits that last into adulthood

Yes, though not in the way most people expect. We don’t hand out meal plans or put your child on a diet. What we do is give parents practical guidance around food, suggestions for what to eat around sessions, and how to build habits that don’t involve cutting everything enjoyable out of their lives. We can share recipes and age-appropriate guides. No overpriced supplements. No calorie counting. No shaming.

It’s something we take seriously. The goal here isn’t aesthetics, it’s capability. Getting stronger, moving better, having more energy. We don’t talk about how they look. We talk about what they can do. There’s a difference, and it matters more than ever at this age.
